About Suffolk Riverfront Jazz
The Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront was the venue established for the Gladys Gatlin Foundations Benefit and Suffolk Riverfront Jazz. On March 2, 2013, we had a smashing event at Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts, boasting the many artistic appealing gallery rooms, ballroom, and theater. This venue have a flow of old slate stairs which were lovingly worn with the buoyant steps of all those who had passed through this magnificent renovated building.
Well, we're back at the Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront for our annual jazz festival with a line-up that's sure to please. The Hilton is still the host hotel for our Foundation/venue, and we encourage you to book early. This hotel has sold out quickly since we have establish our jazz events in Suffolk, VA. Everything is in one place! Enjoy your stay and come to the ballroom for some smoooooth jazz!

The Gladys Gatlin Foundations, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping women veterans transition back to civilian life through providing assistance and advocacy in receiving housing, health care, child care, family services, education, job training and jobs, as well as assistance in entrepreneurial success. Virginia is one of two states with the highest percentage of women veterans.
The issues impacting Women Veterans are:
- Military Sexual Assault
- Lack of job opportunities
- PTSD – Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Proportionately higher suicide rates
- Family Concerns such as housing, transportation child care, health services
